The Foundation

The Rotary Club of Menlo Park Foundation was founded as a nonprofit corporation in 1980, and is granted 501(C)3 tax exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service. Our Tax ID Number is 94-2723876.

The foundation is governed by an eight-member board of directors, composed of club members who serve without compensation. All operating expenses incurred by the Foundation are paid by the Rotary Club of Menlo Park, allowing 100 percent of every dollar contributed to support its designated mission. This formula has appealed to many generous friends who have supported the Foundation, enabling the endowment to exceed $1,000,000.

The major goals of the Foundation are to provide college scholarship funds for students who meet scholarship and need criteria, and local community and charitable ventures that qualify under our tax exempt status.
