The Program
Needs-based scholarships are awarded to students planning to attend a four-year college.  Also, a limited number of grants are given to students planning to attend a local community college.

Access to higher education is a cornerstone to success. Recognizing hard work and achievement and supporting students who exhibit these traits is a core mission of Rotary.  Need-based scholarships are given to acknowledge those who have excelled in academics and community service.  Consideration includes any hardship the student and family have endured and the likelihood that earning a scholarship will be a life-changing event for the student and his or her family.

Each year $70,000 to $130,000 in scholarships are awarded to students entering four-year colleges. And, a number of $1000 grants are awarded to students entering local community colleges.
